Fun with Fire. Basically this is just me getting warmed up (pun slightly intended) to try to make a masterpiece either tonight or tommorow. I'll make a pictoral explanation and most likely post it here for you when I have the time. For a regular explanation (as regular as this can get), this is the supposed visions of Isobel Gowdie in 1662 during witch trials. The demons are based on the satirical picture made by George Cruikshank (Black John Chastising the Witches) and the rest is my own interpretation. Isobel was forced to make a whole catologue of crazy confessions, and in the eyes of the christians at the time, this is much what would be thought to occur when she was doing unholy rituals. My face actually felt hot when i made this, so I think the fire is pretty well done. April 13, 2005.
